About La Pirogue
Set amongst a coconut grove and surrounded by 14 acres of spectacularly lush gardens, La Pirogue is a unique resort that resembles a traditional Mauritian fishing village. La Pirogue is situated on the Mauritian sunset coast, close to Flic-en-Flac, approximately one hour from the airport. The resort is made up of 248 palm-thatched bungalows, all exhibiting authentic Mauritian culture for travellers wanting to dive deeper into the local culture. Each bungalows thatched roof is reminiscent of the unfurled sail of a local fishing boat, from which the resort derives its name. Guests residing at La Pirogue have access to all facilities in the neighbouring sister resort, Sugar Beach.
